We used TimberRidge Construction for the flood-related renovation of our first floor and basement and cannot rave about them or recommend them enough. We are so happy with how it all turned out after an extremely challenging year for our family. Their work is exquisite, and they’re incredibly nice, accommodating, organized and helpful. They made a point of prioritizing us once we signed with them because they knew our house had been gutted for several months after the flood. They agreed to talk to our flood insurance agent if necessary and helped us with the paperwork we had to submit to the agency when we needed to ask for more money (a number of times) to cover the rebuild. They were very patient and understanding about the difficulties involved in a flood-related rebuild and have extensive experience handling those kinds of jobs.

TimberRidge completed the renovation in five months (within the timeframe they had promised) and stayed very close to budget, which they worked with us on ahead of time because they knew we were dealing with flood insurance payment delays. They also made it easy for us to stay in the house during the construction (with two kids, two cats and two adults working remotely) since we had already been displaced for the first few months afterwards. Whenever we had a question or something came up, they were responsive, worked with us on a solution, and handled it right away.

They’re very organized, and unlike some other contractors, they worked consistently on our house for the duration of the job. The process unfolded when and how they told us it would – we didn’t have to deal with any significant delays, surprises or gaps in the work at all.

The end result is absolutely beautiful — they and all their subcontractors did a spectacular job. They gave us our home back (and then some), and we are eternally grateful. I would highly recommend TimberRidge for anyone in need of a general contractor.

Anthony was fair and a straight shooter with his numbers. We quoted a few other builders and TR was right on with their pricing. We chose TR because Anthony was responsive and easy to talk to, elusive traits in the construction industry. He understood our vision for the project and was able to provide helpful insight to work out some details. Lisa and Kimberly were great to work with on the administration side, billing was always on time and accurate. They provided a list of preferred suppliers and were willing to adapt and work with some of our own subs that we brought in for cabinets, counters etc.

On site we worked with our project manager John. If i called him 500 times over the last 4+ months he answered every time or got back to me within 30 minutes. We consider his responsiveness one of the most important aspects of our project. Knowing that he was always there to answer questions and talk through issues made a world of difference. He even took a few calls on weekends if we had an issue. His professionalism and patience with us was remarkable.

The carpenters all embodied the same attitude and values of the TR management team. It was a pleasure having Nery, Rob and Anthony do most of the work at our house. They were excellent carpenters, respectful and clean. Anything I asked them they did without question.

We signed our contract to renovate our home in Cranford with TimberRidge Construction in February 2020. Before I review the actual work, I want to recognize the kindness, empathy and understanding that TimberRidge showed us as the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded. My wife, Lisa and I were thinking of renovating our home for a few years and Anthony, John and the TimberRidge team helped our visions and dream home come true. When Lisa and I first started meeting with contractors and builders it was overwhelming to make sure a large financial, time and living commitment to someone you only meet a few times.
